Our History

1966

The Beginning of Something Great

Located in Chepstow, James Morris (Jim) started the Insurance Agency in 1966 and brought on his son Carl to the business. Focusing on local residential and farming operations, Carl ran the business out of his home.

Branching Out

The agency represented Formosa Mutual Insurance Company as an independent agent.

Carl Morris Insurance Agency

In 1969 Carl purchased the business from his father and branded it as Carl Morris Insurance Agency.

A Grow Getter

Through community involvement and the “small town guy” approach to helping others, Carl successfully grew his business.

1995

A 3rd Generation Legacy

In 1995 Carl introduced his son Vic to the business in hopes he would be able to continue the family
operation as a 3rd generation.

2000

Home Grown

In 2000 Vic purchased the company from his father and continued to grow the business using the same home roots philosophy as Carl (relationships, trust, community).
The major focus remained, provide insurance solutions for farming/agriculture operations, local
residential/homes/auto and some commercial operations.

2004

Supporting Local

In 2004 Formosa Mutual Insurance Company amalgamated with Elma Mutual Insurance Company and became Trillium Mutual Insurance Company. The Carl Morris Insurance Agency remained in place as a supporting Agency to Trillium.

2014

Morris Wagner Insurance Agency

In 2014 Trillium purchased Jim Wagner Insurance Agency and offered a partnership to Carl Morris Insurance Agency to combine the 2 Agencies. The equally shared company was rebranded and is currently identified as Morris Wagner Insurance Agency.
